BRIEF JOB SUMMARY: 

Under general supervision, the IT Applications Administrator administers, configures, and supports the organization’s Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and ServiceDesk Plus environments. This role is responsible for maintaining system configurations, managing permissions, developing workflows, and implementing automation to support IT and business processes. The position provides direct support to users, resolves intermediate to complex system issues, and escalates advanced technical problems as needed. The administrator develops scripts and integrations using tools such as Python, Deluge, PowerShell, and VBScript to automate tasks and improve system functionality. This role also develops documentation, knowledge base content, and training materials while collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders to enhance service management processes and ensure reliable operation of enterprise applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Administer and maintain Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and ServiceDesk Plus environments.
  • Configure and manage projects, workflows, issue types, forms, and service request templates.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, groups, and permissions in accordance with organizational security policies.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and integrations using Python, Deluge, PowerShell, and VBScript.
  • Design, implement, and maintain custom workflows and business process automations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve intermediate to complex system issues reported by users.
  • Provide direct end-user support, consultation, and guidance for supported platforms.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and system procedures.
  • Create and deliver training materials and sessions for users and administrators.
  • Monitor system performance and usage to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
  • Evaluate and implement platform updates, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and business stakeholders to improve service management processes and platform functionality.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–4 years administering Jira or Atlassian Cloud products
  • Experience managing workflows, permissions, and project configuration
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceDesk Plus, Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Experience with advanced scripting in Python, PowerShell, Deluge, JavaScript.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normal mental/visual Attention
  • Normal office environment



Skills Required
