The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an IT Application Administrator to join our team, at our site in Harrogate or York, North Yorkshire. You will be responsible for providing technical computer support to our Chemistry solutions teams in Molecular BioA and CMC, including problem solving, tracking and issue resolution. The position will include application administration support for all of Chemistry Solutions in coordination with multiple Computer Application Support/Application Administrator positions.

You will join a team of 7 people globally, where excellent training and on-boarding will be given to you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acting as an application SME resource for end users

  • Providing technical troubleshooting support and issue resolution for assigned computer applications and associated instruments

  • Leading and co-ordinating resolution to technical and business process issues as related to assigned computer applications

  • Managing user access to the application including addition, modification, review, and removal of accounts as appropriate

  • Participating in validation projects for assigned applications (e.g. requirements analysis, validation and regression testing, process analysis, deployment)

  • Validating and performing user testing including the process design tests to challenge the software, and documenting results/installations as required by GLPs and/or SOPs

  • Helping to develop efficient and effective processes to ensure good communication between the business units and Information Technology (IT) staff.

  • Managing escalation of technical issues to IT and/or application vendors

  • Other duties as required

Education:

  • Previous experience within a laboratory role, ideally with experience supporting IT systems.

  • Good computing skills essential, owing to the nature of the role.

  • Previous experience working within a regulated environment.
