Job Summary:

The IT Analyst and Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the University of San Francisco’s (USF) technology and security objectives that align with USF’s mission, goals, and objectives. This hybrid position combines analytical, administrative, logistical support, and project management responsibilities in technical and security assessments and enterprise architecture operations.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic higher education environment. Using ITS' methodology to plan, execute, and close projects within the project's scope, schedule, and budget, and meet the quality standards set by the sponsor.

Reporting to the Associate Director Enterprise Architecture, this role will collaborate across USF departments, third-party contractors and consultants.  They will support the New Technology Assessment (NTA) process which entails engaging with potential vendors to acquire collateral for review and evaluation and ensuring that all of our requirements are met. 

Key Responsibilities  

IT Analysis and Support:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to IT systems, security protocols, and technical assessments.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify requirements, vulnerabilities, and alignment with IT standards.

  • Coordinate logistics for security and technical assessments, including scheduling and documentation.

  • Document findings, track action items, and monitor resolution progress.

  • Manage the intake and review of vendor security assessments, ensuring proper documentation is collected and analyzed.

  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external vendors.

  • Work with the service managers and owners to ensure project deliverables and documents are uploaded and archived and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Knowledge Base is updated.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget, scope and standards.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations using tools like Asana, Microsoft Project, or Jira.

  • Track project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders through clear and concise reporting.

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, share progress, and resolve issues.

  • Oversee the transition of completed projects into operations, coordinating with ITS Help Desk, service owners, and any Third Party Support.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental and university objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, information systems, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Three or more years of progressive experience in information technology, preferably in a higher education setting.

  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects to successful, on-time, and on-budget completion meeting quality standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.

  • Adaptable and resilient, capable of managing shifting priorities and tight deadlines. 

  • Technically proficient in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Jira, ServiceNow.

  • Skilled in researching project-related issues and evaluating IT solutions. 

  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies effectively. 

  • PMI's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Salary Range :

$75,000-$100,000 annualized; commensurate with experience
