Job Summary
The IT Analyst I is responsible for the analysis of data/systems, researching alternatives, identifying potential solutions, defining test criteria, performing system tests, implementing changes, and monitoring post-implementation performance. They must have the ability to translate data into actionable information. The IT Analyst I supports applications, databases, processes, and business and clinical functions as they relate to their specific business or clinical area.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide support for systems, processes, and customers and respond in a timely manner to incidents.
- Assists with the implementation of clinical and business solutions.
- Analyze information required to make clinical and business decisions.
- Translate data into meaningful information.
- Ability to carry out assignments as specified/directed.
- Ability to balance workload and escalate to management as appropriate to meet service levels.
- On-going research of solutions and best practices.
- Collaborate with other team members, customers, and management.
- Demonstrates technical proficiency within assigned clinical and business functions.
- Proficient in the applications/tools used within the department for Time Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Time Reporting, Communications, and other tools as provided.
- Leads conference calls, meetings, and online meetings to facilitate issue resolution and coordinate application upgrades and enhancements.
- Handles customer questions and concerns, communicates well with customers, and handles service problems politely and efficiently.
- Seeks out educational opportunities within the organization as well as outside to enhance skill set.
Education Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 1-3 years of successful analytical experience within a complex healthcare environment
- 1-3 years of demonstrated IT success within a field of expertise.
