As a Production Supervisor here at Solstice, you will oversee the production operations at our Metropolis, IL location. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe working environment. 

You will report directly to our Sr. Chemical Plant Operations Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location on an On-site work schedule. 

In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice by leading and developing a team of production operators, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and maximize efficiency. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production operators to meet production goals 
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste 
  • Train and develop production staff to maintain a high-performing team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives
  • Fulfill Emergency Response Team roles
  • Life Safety Critical Permit Issuer 
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of chemical, nuclear, or manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Understanding of federal regulations
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs 

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Compensation:

The annual base range for this position is $76,274 to $95,291. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business consideration.
