Isazi Origins - where exceptional careers begin
Isazi Origins is Isazi AI's premier vacation work programme, designed to identify, challenge and develop the next generation of exceptional Data Scientists and Software Engineers.
Twice a year, we invite a select group of South Africa's brightest postgraduate STEM students and graduates to join us for an immersive three-week paid experience at our head office in Bryanston, Johannesburg head.
This is more than a traditional vacation programme. It is an opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering while solving meaningful problems, building lasting relationships and demonstrating your potential.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for exceptionally bright, ambitious and intellectually curious individuals who are eager to accelerate their careers.
Applicants must:
Have completed, or be in the final year of completing, a postgraduate STEM qualification (minimum Honours level).
Be ready to enter the workforce upon completion of their current studies.
Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement throughout their tertiary studies.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrate a passion for technology, innovation and continuous learning.
Preference will be given to students and graduates from Isazi AI's partner universities:
University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)
University of Johannesburg (UJ)
University of Pretoria (UP)
University of Cape Town (UCT)
Stellenbosch University
Graduates from other institutions may also be considered, provided they have maintained a consistent academic average of 85% or higher throughout their studies.

The Isazi Origins Experience
Over the course of the programme, participants will be immersed in the world of Isazi AI.
Participants will work on real-world inspired challenges developed by Isazi AI's technical leaders and will present their solutions to senior members of the business.
This exposure provides participants with valuable insight into life at Isazi AI and the challenges faced by our teams every day.
A Pathway Into Isazi AI
Outstanding performance during the Isazi Origins programme may lead to an opportunity to join the Isazi AI Junior Data Scientist Accelerated Development Programme.
Top-performing participants may be offered a 12-month fixed-term contract with Isazi AI, embarking on an accelerated development journey designed to prepare them for progression into a Level 1 Data Scientist role within the organisation

Skills Required
- Completed or currently completing a postgraduate STEM qualification at a minimum Honours level
- Ready to enter the workforce upon completion of current studies

- Graduates from institutions other than the preferred partner universities must maintain a consistent academic average of 85% or higher
- Enrollment or graduation from a preferred partner university: Wits, UJ, UP, UCT, or Stellenbosch University
