Market Strategy & Understanding, Ipsos Denmark
Are you a senior quantitative market researcher with strong experience in brand research? Can you translate client business needs into robust research approaches, get hands-on with research and analysis, and synthesize consumer insights into clear strategic recommendations for some of the largest companies in Denmark? If so, we hope to welcome you to our team.
Scaling our market and brand research efforts
As a Research Director within our Market Strategy & Understanding Team, you will combine senior client leadership with hands-on research expertise. You will be involved across the full research journey – from new business and client management to understanding client challenges, designing the right research approach, developing proposals, guiding analysis and turning findings into compelling strategic recommendations.
Brand research will be an important part of your role. We are therefore looking for someone with strong experience conducting quantitative research that helps clients understand and grow their brands – including areas such as brand positioning, brand equity and tracking, U&A, segmentation, category understanding and shopper research.
This is a senior role, but it is also a hands-on research role. You will proactively drive client dialogue, scope and sell projects, while remaining close to the research itself. You should be comfortable working with research design, questionnaires and data, challenging analytical approaches, identifying the story in the findings and personally shaping the insights and strategic recommendations we ultimately deliver to clients.
You will have access to some of the most sophisticated and well-designed research methods, technologies and perspectives within the industry, as well as Ipsos' large network of research experts around the world.
We are looking for a seasoned quantitative market research professional with substantial experience in a market research/insights agency environment who is enthusiastic about involving and developing others. We don't expect you to know all our ways of working at Ipsos, but we expect you to be curious about the different types of research we do within the market and brand space – including our ambitious integration of AI into our research solutions and offerings.
A unique job opportunity
“What I enjoy the most as a Director at Ipsos is the wide-reaching impact of my actions on clients and colleagues alike. In this role, we build close and dedicated relationships with clients and share a diversity of challenges together. No client is the same, no project is the same, making every day unique. It feels very fulfilling to take clients’ challenge as our own and apply our ever-evolving expertise to build truthfully impactful stories that clients can act on. Another significant part of this role is working in collaboration and mentoring more junior colleagues – another very meaningful part of my role is indeed to act as a driving force of growth and achievement of others.”
– Sara Sousa, Director

Your qualifications:
It takes passion, dedication and leadership to excel as a Research Director and role model for our talented team. Your most important qualities are that you're reliable, empathic, inspiring and genuinely curious. You know how to create engagement, build connections and create results based on trust – for our clients, of course, but just as much among your colleagues.
To succeed in the position, it is essential that you have an analytical mind, helping you put findings in the right context, foresee challenges and draw attention to solutions.
You have strong hands-on experience in quantitative market research and a deep understanding of research techniques and principles. In particular, we are looking for someone who has personally worked on brand and consumer research, such as brand positioning, brand equity and tracking, U&A, segmentation, category understanding and shopper studies.
You are comfortable going beyond managing the research process. You can challenge a research design, work closely with questionnaires and data, identify the story within the findings, and turn evidence into clear strategic recommendations for clients.
You understand the client environment, commercial issues, industry structures and societal context, and have a strong ability to multitask, prioritize and deliver against objectives. With natural flair, you can effectively manage various stakeholders within a project.
You likely have a university degree in economics, marketing, business, psychology or a related field.
It is essential that you have at least 8 years of experience in quantitative market research, including substantial experience working within a market research/insights agency. We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed their careers within research agencies and have combined strong hands-on research expertise with increasingly senior client and commercial responsibilities.
You communicate fluently in written and spoken English, our common company language.
