PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.
Job Description
- Generate KPI reports and track KPIs
- To perform test data analysis with IT tools and statistical methods to benchmark test sites or investigate performance of new manufacturing sites
- Coordinate Bosch internal change management, generate and track engineering change requests for semiconductor products
- Support new products introduction within our international production network
- You are responsible for micromechanical automotive sensors in our IPN (international production network)
- You have to manage product data in series production and coordinate product issues at multiple manufacturing locations around the globe
- Responsible to the monitoring of quality and costs of the products inclusive of planning, controlling and supervising product improvement projects
- You will lead working groups within the framework of project, yield and quality management
- You are required to coordinate manufacturing activities of sensor products in an international production network in cooperation with the development and manufacturing departments
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years to 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferable at least 3 years of related field of work process calculations and lean production
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering
- Possess strong communication skills (both verbal & written) and moderate meetings/workshops with all levels and departments
- Good IT skills, standard office software as well as programming language
- Candidates must be proactive with ability to work in a team and provide positive influence to improve
- Good listener with negotiation skills
- Able to perform manufacturing and economic analysis (facts and figures)
- Candidate must be an accurate person with detailed and results oriented
- Able to perform commercial discussion together with equipment supplier and engineering
- Able to instruct and deal in shopfloor with clear set of logical standards and systematically follow them
- Able to determine cost saving and quality improvement potential in his/her area with focus on company vision, mission, strategy and goals (SQCD)
- Open for business trip and able to travel to Germany for training
