As an Entertainment IP Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the success of POP MART's owned intellectual property portfolio by supporting IP strategy, evaluating market performance, and identifying opportunities for growth across products, categories, and global markets.
Working closely with cross-functional teams and our global headquarters, you'll help translate consumer insights and market trends into actionable recommendations that influence product development, category planning, and long-term IP strategy. You'll also oversee inbound licensing partnerships, ensuring partners are effectively managed and aligned with POP MART's brand standards, creative vision, and business objectives.

What you will achieve:
IP Strategy and Portfolio Development
- Evaluate the performance, positioning, and potential of POP MART owned IP across categories and markets
- Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, or repositioning based on market signals and product performance
- Contribute to a more structured and disciplined approach to IP evaluation and decision-making
- Develop clear, actionable recommendations to inform IP development and long-term strategy
Product and Market Translation
- Translate external exposure and market observation into recommendations for product direction and category expansion
- Partner with internal teams and HQ to provide clear input on what is resonating in-market and why
- Identify white space across product categories and consumer segments, and translate these into direction for IP and merchandise development
- Leverage retail, consumer, and competitive insights to inform category focus and highlight areas of underdevelopment or emerging demand
Inbound Licensing and External Partnerships
- Manage inbound licensing relationships across approvals, marketing coordination, and product alignment, ensuring consistent and timely execution
- Support contract processes and ongoing partner management, maintaining alignment with internal priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts tied to licensed IP, including campaign execution and partner deliverables
What you will need:
- 3–5 years of experience in IP-driven businesses, such as entertainment, consumer products, licensing, or related industries.
- Experience working with licensed intellectual property (IP), including product development, approval processes, and licensing partner collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate IP performance and translate market insights into strategic recommendations.
- Strong understanding of how IP drives product development, category expansion, and commercial performance.
- Strong knowledge of the retail and consumer landscape, with the ability to identify trends and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
- Experience building and managing relationships with external partners, licensors, or licensees.
- Proven ability to represent the brand professionally while building credibility, influencing stakeholders, and exercising sound business judgment.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities and driving execution.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Comfortable collaborating across cross-functional teams, global stakeholders, and multiple time zones.
Preferred Background
- Experience in franchise, brand, or IP strategy within character-driven, entertainment, or consumer products organizations.
- Background in consumer products, licensing, or brand management with exposure to product development, commercialization, and brand execution.
- Experience working in cross-functional roles that bridge IP development, product management, licensing, marketing, and commercial teams.
- Familiarity with evaluating consumer trends, market performance, and category opportunities to inform IP and product strategies.
- Experience collaborating with global teams and navigating cross-regional business environments is preferred.

Hiring Exercise

Pay Range Details
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually. This range is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws and may vary based on geographic location. Individual compensation will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's incentive compensation program.
