The Role and Impact-
As an IP Design Verification Engineer in Unified Intel Chassis team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring Intel's cutting-edge technologies meet rigorous quality and performance standards. Your work will directly contribute to the development of high-quality intellectual property (IP) that powers Intel's innovative products. By performing functional verification of IP logic, you will ensure that designs meet specification requirements, uncovering and resolving bugs in pre-silicon environments to enhance reliability and functionality. In this role, you will collaborate with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to drive technical reviews and improve verification methodologies, making a tangible impact on Intel's mission to deliver world-class technological solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop IP verification plans, test benches, and verification environments aligned with microarchitecture specifications.
- Execute verification plans through system simulation models to evaluate design functionality, and identify bugs.
- Debug issues in pre-silicon environments, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
- Collaborate with architects, and RTL developers to improve verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
- Document test plans and drive technical reviews of plans and proofs with design and architecture teams.
- Maintain and enhance the existing functional verification infrastructure and methodologies.
- Participate in defining verification infrastructures and creating TFMs required for functional design verification.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in IP verification processes with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years with a Master's degree.
- Proficiency in System Verilog and hardware simulation environments.
- Familiarity with OVM and UVM verification methodologies.
- Understanding of IP test writing, test plans, and validation tools.
- Ability to debug and solve issues using hardware simulation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with CPU architecture fundamentals and digital design principles.
- Experience with C programming languages, including C/C++/C#.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and disciplined execution.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in verification methodologies.
- Knowledge of Interconnects.
