About the Role
ADT is looking for an Experienced iOS Mobile Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering mobile team in Irving, TX. You'll help develop and maintain core architecture and customer-facing features for an iOS security application used by hundreds of thousands of users every day.
You'll work alongside product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and other technical partners to create reliable, easy-to-use mobile experiences. This role is ideal for an engineer who has already shipped production mobile software and is ready to take ownership of meaningful features while continuing to grow technically.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain responsive, reliable iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Contribute to customer-facing mobile experiences that impact hundreds of thousands of users.
- Apply modern mobile architecture patterns and iOS platform capabilities to improve performance and maintainability.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to support planning, implementation, and delivery of production mobile features.
- Build and maintain observability using Dynatrace and related monitoring tools.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve application health and reliability.
- Collaborate with product, backend engineering, security, operations, and platform teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to engineering documentation, technical standards, and team practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
What You'll Need
- Hands-on iOS development experience with Xcode, Swift, and SwiftUI.
- 3+ years of professional iOS experience in a production environment. 5+ years of overall software engineering experience preferred.
- Experience shipping mobile applications or features to production.
- Experience with Swift Concurrency, Actors, async/await, caching, WebSockets, REST or GraphQL APIs, JSON decoding, and security concepts.
- Experience working with Bluetooth, geofencing, camera functionality, Wi-Fi, and related mobile technologies.
- Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, pull request reviews, and CI/CD platforms.
- Experience using Dynatrace, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Comfort working in an environment that embraces modern AI development tools.
