About The Role
Grubhub is looking for a talented iOS Software Engineer II to join our Mobile Driver Experience team. This team is at the heart of our logistics, responsible for building and maintaining the Grubhub for Drivers application. This app is the essential tool that enables our driver partners to deliver millions of orders across the country. If you're passionate about creating top-tier mobile experiences and solving complex logistical challenges, we'd love to have you on board!
The Impact You Will Make

• Design, implement, and deliver new features for our driver application, understanding our products from both a technical and business perspective.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product owners, and other engineers to turn business priorities into functional, working software.
• Creatively solve complex technical problems to enhance the driver experience and streamline our delivery network.
• Actively contribute to the adoption of robust software architecture, the development of best practices, and the integration of new technologies.
• Take technical ownership over a family of systems by building new services, managing technical debt, and identifying opportunities for platform improvement.
• Champion strong software development lifecycles and best practices, acting as a technical leader within your team and the broader organization.

What You Bring To The Table

• 3-5 years of practical experience in iOS product development.
• Strong experience with modern iOS development, including SwiftUI and architectural patterns like MVVM-Coordinator .
• A solid understanding of best practices for networking , concurrency , and UI development .
• Familiarity with software development best practices and design patterns, especially MVVM and CI/CD, GitHub Actions .
• Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and other engineering groups.
• A history of building software collaboratively, with excellent communication skills for brainstorming solutions and discussing technical ideas with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with app performance analysis and debugging techniques.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals (degree in CS, a related field, or equivalent practical experience).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

The base salary for this position is below:
New York: $ 149,500-174,500
Illinois: $134,550-157,050
