Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited institution for neurodiagnostic technology or 2 years equivalent neurodiagnostic tech experience. Must have current certification in Basic Life Support. 

Within two years of employment, specific certification through ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM and CAP); American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM; CNCT) and/or American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET; R.NCS.T.) is required in the laboratory of hire.

Associate’s degree preferred. Experience in routine diagnostic testing is preferred. Computer skills required. Ability to work independently and shows proficiency in troubleshooting. The Certification Examination in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring is strongly encouraged.

Those hired into this job description prior to year 2013 will not be impacted by the lab specific certification requirement.
