The Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) Planner (IO) to support CENTCOM campaigning, mission planning, and execution at the operational and strategic level as part of the APOLLO program (previously OPIAS – Operational Planning, Implementation, and Assessment Services). This role involves planning, Information Forces and their capabilities integration (IRC), and coordination across joint, combined, and interagency teams. There is a requirement to work closely with military counterparts to ensure IO effects are integrated into all phases of operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain awareness of current technologies and best practices in the IO and cyber domains.
Manage the Review and Approval Process (RAP) for CONOPs involving SAP and Sensitive Activities.
Provide planning expertise across mission analysis, COA development, wargaming, and plan transition.
Ensure compliance with IJSTO and DoD regulations for handling and accessing classified material.
Serve as a liaison to Joint Staff, OSD, CCMDs, IC elements, and partner nations on STO-related coordination.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s with 6+ OR 12 years of direct IO planning experience.
Minimum 5 years of IO planning experience at a joint/service level.
Formal IO background (e.g., FA30, or equivalent civilian/contractor training).
Strong knowledge of joint planning, targeting, and doctrinal processes.
U.S. Citizenship and valid passport.
Clearance
Must currently possess a minimum TS/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Strategic Communications, Information Ops, or National Security.
Completion of JIOPC, OPSEC Planners Course, or similar military planning courses.
Familiarity with MILDEC, EW, Cyber, MISO, Public Affairs, Civil Affairs, Space and Intelligence Operations.
Strong cross-functional teamwork and communication skills.
Operational experience supporting CENTCOM AOR is preferred. INDOPACOM or AFRICOM is also acceptable.
