Main Responsabilities
Plans and schedules complex and high impact (multiple work centers, higher technology) manufacturing processes of all current production and service parts. Schedules requirements for material with regard to the Deere Production System including kanbans/triggers, delivery and achievement of the production schedule. May develop line sequencing of options. May supervise and provide work direction.
- Develop daily and weekly production plans for a factory or product line to include resource planning and monitoring and reporting on performance against the plan.
- Prepare weekly team or department workforce plans to identify the number of staff required to meet the demand forecast.
- Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective.
- Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
- Carry out a range of inventory-control activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
- Collect and analyze the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for a low-risk area with many alternatives and minimum costs to change, in consultation with relevant functions to provide solid market information for decision-making.
- Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently
- Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice.
- Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
