About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Performance Data Management Manager to join the High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth Client Investment Performance Reporting team within Wealth Investments Management Operations.
This leader will be responsible for overseeing client account data management processes and controls within the performance reporting applications that support client investment performance reporting. The role will focus on ensuring data integrity across systems, strengthening operational controls, driving process improvements, and identifying innovative solutions to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
Success in this role requires close partnership with third-party vendors, Wells Fargo Technology, operational partners, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational controls, risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks while supporting critical business objectives.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage team of alternative investment operations managers and analysts
  • Provide accountability for the development of operational strategy and may serve on line of business project teams
  • Develop the operational infrastructure on financial accounting, tax reporting and client services
  • Perform specific duties including accurate financial reporting of funds, sourcing of proprietary fund vendors, and ensuring operational due diligence of external investment managers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Ensure effective operational due diligence of external investment managers
  • Manage administration of third party distribution of alternative investments through wealth and brokerage divisions
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding company wide tasks that steer the company's operational direction
  • Develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for securities operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing the reconciliation of client account data between core accounting systems and performance applications, including account, asset, transaction, and holdings data.
  • 2+ years of experience in risk management, including issues management, corrective actions, control design, implementation, and oversight.
  • Industry experience analyzing data drivers that impact investment performance results and identifying outlier returns to diagnose issues and drive remediation efforts.
  • Skilled at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the team's business-as-usual activities.
  • Transformational leader with the ability to drive innovative solutions and increase efficiency through technology tools such as Copilot, Alteryx, Xceptor, and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to partner with a wide range of stakeholders including operational teams, business partners, and third-party vendors
  • Proven track record of delivering results and making sound decisions when solving complex problems.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and collaborate across teams to meet deliverable requirements.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote at posted location (1525 W. W T Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC)
  • US only: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 99/7 and 63 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
