This role is for one of our clients
Compensation: $75-$110 per hour
We're building a high-quality library of investment-operations and fund-accounting work products. You'll complete self-contained operations exercises from mock files (ledgers, statements, notices) and produce the analyst deliverable for each, graded against a rubric.
Requirements
What you'll do
- Reconcile ledgers vs custodian / bank statements; isolate and explain every residual difference; produce the signed-off rec with adjusting entries.
- Attribute NAV movements, flag components outside tolerance, and write the variance commentary.
- Investigate trade breaks between two systems; identify root cause, classify the break, propose the fix, and draft the investigation narrative.
- Process corporate-action events and compute entitlements per account; handle payment / transfer exceptions (repair / return / escalate); match messy merchant / vendor descriptors to a canonical registry.
You're a fit if you have
- 3+ years in fund administration or investment operations (fund accounting, reconciliations, corporate actions, trade support / middle office, or payment operations) at a fund administrator, custodian, asset manager, or bank ops.
- Hands-on with reconciliations, NAV, trade breaks, corporate actions, or payment / settlement exceptions; strong Excel.
Nice to have
- CPA or IOC; fund-accounting systems (SS&C / Geneva / Multifonds / InvestOne); SWIFT / settlement systems.
Assessment A ledger-vs-custodian reconciliation that must tie out; a NAV variance attribution; a trade-break root-cause + narrative.
Details Contract, hourly (~15 hrs/week), remote, US-based. Pay $75-110/hr based on experience.
We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request.
