The Role

About the Role: 
We are seeking an organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and highly professional Investment Operations Analyst to support the Investment Operations department in our Salt Lake City office. Candidates should be motivated to support the best client-facing experience in our industry. This role will report to the Investment Operations Manager.  

 

Hours:

This role is full-time & onsite in our Salt Lake City office.

 

Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm

Friday 8am - 2pm

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Performance Reporting Software Management
    • Data Aggregation & Reconciliation - ensuring accuracy and quality
    • Set up Client accounts, reporting groups, and households
    • Regularly audit client data across systems for accuracy and consistency
    • Manual security data management
    • Create and manage custom reports for clients and advisors
    • Troubleshoot reporting issues
    • Daily account reconciliations
    • Clean and prepare data for compliance filing
    • Identify and recommend workflow and automation improvements
    • Ensure investment data (e.g., cost basis, transactions) is complete and clean
  • Trade Support & Processing
  • Private Investment Process Management
  • Develop and implement data architecture policies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all financial platforms
  • Billing & Fee Processing Support
    • Review and audit fee billing for accuracy across accounts and households
  • Audit & Compliance Support
    • Assist with internal audits and regulatory reviews (e.g., SEC exams)
    • Maintain documentation to support compliance and operational integrity
    • Help prepare records for external reporting (Form ADV, regulatory filings)
  • Provide white-glove customer service to clients on accounts and other various needs
  • Complete tasks & paperwork for several processes including client onboarding, private fund entry, and account management
  • Drive our system support strategy: analyze ticket trends and metrics to recommend improvements to drive automation and increase stakeholder enablement
  • Any additional tasks as they come up or as the business evolves to support the team


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, data modeling and data visualization
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong process management orientation and skills - ensuring completion including scope, timeline, and resource management
  • Impeccable time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical individuals
  • Adhere to all compliance/risk procedures and follow corporate and industry protocols
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Python, SQL, R and/or VBA
  • Design, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Series 65 License (or equivalent / willingness to obtain within 45 days of employment)
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Experience with a performance reporting software (such as Tamarac, Orion Black Diamond, etc.)
  • Experience with processes and procedures at Charles Schwab and/or Fidelity (Wealthscape) advisor portals
