Job Description
Experience
- One to three years of relevant work experience in investment management, accounting, investment operations, financial analysis, or a related financial services role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in investment operations or data analytics
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Certification Summary
- No professional certifications required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of performance and risk measurement best practices and the calculations that underlie them
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, and strong foundational quantitative and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment, consistently meet deadlines, and adapt to challenges
- Demonstrated self-starter who can balance competing priorities, and work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with commitment to delivering error free work
- Capable of building relationships with internal and external professionals while representing Children’s Investment Office
- Interest & aptitude in investments/finance/operations
- Ability & willingness to travel as needed
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile portfolio activity (rebalancing, capital calls & distributions, account set-up & termination) across numerous data platforms.
- Manage the collection of data required for monthly and quarterly investment performance reporting.
- Track and maintain investment and operations data and follow established processes for circulating this information internally.
- Learn, follow, and facilitate updating of all developed processes and established practices of the Investment Office; create and maintain policies and procedures as needed.
- Develop acumen in reviewing investment manager documents and aid in the populating of required documentation for investment activity (e.g. subscription documents, redemption documents).
- Track and manage performance and analytics requests from across Investment Office.
- Assist with the preparation of performance presentations and reports for the Investment Committee and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the enhancement of performance reporting processes and methodologies.
- Assist with on-boarding new service providers and external vendors as needed.
- Cross train with team members.
- Facilitate the completion of Children’s annual audit and tax filings, and periodic Investment Office internal audit.
- Maintain Investment Office internal document & data organizational systems.
- Serve as Investment Office resource and liaise with broader Children’s organization, as needed.
