Investment Operations Analyst

Position Summary
The Investment Operations Analyst plays a critical role in building, automating, and scaling the firm’s investment infrastructure. This position supports portfolio management, reporting, data integrity, and systems integration across investment and advisory platforms. This role partners closely with Advisory, Investment, and Service Teams to improve operational workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive automation across the investment lifecycle. The position is designed as a high-impact analytical role with increasing responsibility over time, contributing directly to operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Operations & Reporting
Support daily reconciliation processes across custodians, portfolio accounting systems (e.g. Black Diamond), and internal records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Identify, research, and resolve cash, position, and transaction discrepancies in coordination with custodians and internal stakeholders.
Assist with portfolio implementation workflows, including rebalancing support, and account-level execution tracking.
Monitor data integrity across systems to ensure consistency between reporting, performance, and CRM platforms.
Support compliance, and audit-related documentation requirements tied to trading and portfolio operations.
Assist with Power BI, Excel-based modeling, and other analytics tools to support investment and operational insights.
Conduct analysis on portfolio trends, liquidity, capital calls, and private investment reporting.
Identify patterns or operational risks and proactively recommend solutions.
Data Management & Automation
Design and implement process improvements to automate manual workflows, including anomaly detection in cash flows, performance data, and account activity.
Assist in integrating systems across CRM, portfolio accounting, reporting, and investment platforms.
Build and maintain reporting dashboards, data models, and analytical tools to enhance decision-making.
Develop repeatable processes to normalize, structure, and validate investment data.
Support ongoing data schema, data optimization and other strategic initiatives.
Support the integration and transition of acquired firm investment and performance data.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
0–2 years of experience in investment operations, portfolio accounting, financial services, or related analytical role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Comfort working with technology platforms and learning new systems quickly.
Preferred Experience
Experience with across core wealth applications is strongly preferred. (e.g. Black Diamond, Salesforce, CAIS, Preqin, YCharts, Powder).
Experience supporting private investment reporting and capital activity tracking. (e.g. CAIS, iCapital, Allocate)
Experience supporting advisors, clients, or internal stakeholders in a platform or systems-focused role.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & SQL (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Familiarity with programming for automation and data prep (Python, R, VBA).

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 base plus bonus based on experience. Actual salary range could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
