We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments and Retirement team at Marsh. This role will be based in New York. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role will assist the US investment operations for Mercer’s Direct Investment Unit (DIU). The DIU is an investment management team that provides multi-asset solutions to clients. The DIU manages funds and separately managed accounts for a variety of client types. This role will be working closely with our trading and operations teams in New York as well as collaborating with our international DIU colleagues.
We will count on you to:
- Project manage and coordinate all aspects of client onboarding, strategy launches/closures, and restructures
- Create and oversee full end-to-end transition plans and runbooks. This needs to cover both the client’s transition requirements and any internal data and system requirements, changes to operational procedures, and technology requirements
- Co-ordinate with operations and external outsourced operational providers, to ensure impact of any changes is fully understood and managed safely
- Support Legal with both client documentation (IMAA co-ordination / letters of authority etc.) and also any trading / operational onboarding for new trading agreements and custody/clearing requirements
- Contribute to post-implementation reviews and ensure lessons learned are implemented
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, attend client mandate meetings as needed, providing status updates and flagging issues for escalation
- Manage multiple concurrent events (onboarding, account opening, market opening simultaneously)
- Coordinate with US regulatory and compliance teams on implementation requirements
What you need to have:
- At least 5 years' relevant investment operations or implementation experience
- Proven experience with project management of complex client implementation and transition projects
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of investment operations, asset servicing, and client onboarding processes
- Experience managing relationships with external service providers, custodians, and fund administrators
- Familiarity with US investment management regulatory landscape and operational requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business-related field

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,400 to $136,800.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
