About the Role
The Investment Implementation Manager sits within the Perpetual Wealth Management Investments Team, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in investment operations and implementation, and delivering investment-related projects as we undergo a period of significant transformation due to the separation of Perpetual Wealth Management (PWM) from Perpetual Limited.
This role also retains leadership accountability for the Investment Implementation team, who are responsible for implementing investment changes, producing investment reporting, and supporting the day-to-day operational management of the Perpetual Private Funds.
This role is offered as a 12-month maximum-term contract, covering parental leave.
You’ll:
Be a key contributor to the delivery of project plans and milestones, for investment related separation activities, including Responsible Entity change activities and operational readiness for separation.
Be a SME for investment operational input into separation governance forums and working groups.
Maintain the execution and tracking of required investment documentation, agreements and approvals linked to separation activities.
Investment Implementation team management and oversight including:
Implementation of approved investment changes across funds, model portfolios and approved product lists.
Investment reporting and monitoring.
Day-to-day operational support for Funds.
End-to-end project management of investment change implementation.
Ongoing liaison with custodians, registry, fund accounting and outsourced service providers on investment operations matters.
Production and coordination of relevant investment committee and board materials, and maintenance of key investment documentation.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
An appropriate undergraduate degree (commerce, economics, business, finance etc.).
At least 5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in investment or product related roles. Investment experience across traditional and alternative asset classes, public and private markets is desirable, as is experience in Investment Administration or Custody.
Experience working in advice groups, dealerships or private banks will be highly regarded, as will experience working with product teams and investment product structures.
Ideally you will have an understanding of the advice process and client focus.
Strong project management skills, and experience managing multiple tasks, project planning and delivering to deadlines.
Experience in redesigning and improving work process and workflow.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work competently across multiple teams and business units.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence presenting to senior management, executives and board members.
