Position Summary:

LACI’s Debt Fund launched to provide non-dilutive capital to early stage cleantech startups. The Investment Coordinator supports the day-to-day activities of the fund, ensuring that multiple objectives are met, including investor return, access to capital for under-resourced founders, and national coverage. A successful coordinator will have excellent organizational and communication skills along with a strong interest in the climate tech and climate financing landscape. This is a great role for someone who may want to pivot into the climate space or begin their career in the industry.

What You’ll Do:

  • Administrative Support/Record-keeping: Maintain weekly and bi-weekly meeting agendas, including documenting decisions and action items. Organize and maintain Debt Fund records including but not limited to all MOUs, LP agreements, invoices, and compliance documents.
  • Process and Procedures: Develop and Maintain the Debt Fund Operations Manual with SOPs. Monitor grant spending and support with grant applications and other development activities. Update Salesforce records and maintain a single source of truth for all Debt Fund data
  • Pipeline Dashboard and Outreach: Create and maintain a weekly pipeline dashboard outlining where applicants stand in their debt fund applications and following up as needed. Develop technical assistance resources and guides for applicants and partners looking to work with the debt fund. Facilitate pipeline growth through marketing, outreach, curriculum development, and webinar support. Assist with due diligence process for prospective investments 
  • Portfolio Support: Assist in quarterly LP meetings and presentation preparation. Support post-investment activities including impact reporting, post investment data collection, marketing, and portfolio monitoring

Requirements:

Basically, we want to know you can get the job done. This means you have:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a finance, analyst, operations or accounting role (or relevant experience). 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in economics, accounting and/or finance 
  • Experience evaluating early stage / startup companies preferred
  • Interest in cleantech and/or impact investing preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, can work with many moving parts, and maintain records to improve institutional knowledge

Work Requirements

  • Must work onsite from Downtown LA office (hybrid schedule)

Position Details:

This is a full-time position, starting immediately. LACI operates out of the La Kretz Innovation Campus, in the bustling Downtown LA Arts District. Since we are rapidly growing, you will be getting in on the ground floor at LACI, with the opportunity to evolve with us and shape your future here. Some travel may be required.

Salary Range: Coordinator Range $58-67k commensurate with experience, education, skills, etc and total compensation package including health benefits, 401k match, professional development, commuter benefits and more.
