We are looking for an Investment Associate to support investment and treasury activities in Cambodia, Lao and Myanmar (CLM).
What are we expecting from this role?Support investment manager in performing financial due diligence, credit rating, bond pricing, equity valuation, and drafting investment proposals.
Handle information gathering from investing counterparties and work with CLM compliance team in performing sanction screening and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) due diligence.
Assist in investment execution, cash movement, cash flow report preparation and cash flow projection for Cambodia.
Assist in monitoring and reconciling repayments collected from investing counterparties for CLM.
Calculate investment portfolio performance measures for CLM such as yield, duration, portfolio concentration, credit limit utilization, etc.
Support in preparing investment performance report to CLM Investment Committee (IC) through quarterly IC meeting or ad-hoc basis (if needed).
Support in credit rating review of all counterparties annually and monitoring financial covenants of counterparts quarterly for CLM.
Assist in performing annual risk and compliance exercises for CLM.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
At least 3 years in investment evaluation, audit, financial due diligence or in similar fields, preferably in Insurance, Investment Bank or International Accounting firms.
A bachelor’s degree in banking and finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Effectively and efficiently execute investment cases within the due course
Capability in thinking critically and identifying appropriate solutions
Ability to do data crunching to make financial data suitable for analysis.
Demonstrate competency in interpreting financial statements, analyzing business models, and assessing market competitiveness of target companies.
Knowledge of capital markets and economic trends in Cambodia, Lao and Myanmar.
Understand specific calculations for valuation, modeling, and forecasting such as discounted cash flow model, portfolio construction model, pricing, Sharpe ratio, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced MS Excel, MS Words, and MS PowerPoint skills, and familiar with market intelligence platforms (Capital IQ, Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv, etc.).

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in investment analysis, financial due diligence, corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, or related fields
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and business valuation techniques
- Knowledge of capital markets, credit analysis, and investment portfolio management
- Familiarity with valuation and forecasting methodologies (DCF, portfolio construction, pricing models, risk-return measures)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with market intelligence platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv)
- Experience within insurance or financial services industry
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and think critically to execute investment cases
