The position is based in Seoul, South Korea.

Role Specifications:

The Investment Analyst - Korean Equities will report directly into the Head of Korean Equities and be part of the Korean Equity Team.  The role will be responsible for bottom up research analysis on Korean equities. 

The position calls for regular communication within the team on stock ideas and market outlook.   

Core Responsibilities:

• To conduct bottom up research analysis on Korean equities

• To perform industry and market research

• Quantitative and qualitative research analysis on the base of interviews, company visits and evaluation of questions

• Actively communicating investment ideas/views with high conviction

• To perform financial modelling on assigned stocks

• As a result, ready to contribution to enhancing the portfolio performance continuously.

• To attend clients’ meeting, brokers’ conference and various investment meetings

• To maintain a full understanding of and to comply with all regulatory, legal, corporate and client mandate requirements that impact upon your role at Barings. To ensure that such an understanding is incorporated into your investment recommendations

• To provide all relevant investment literature

• To provide regular written reports assigned by your manager with high quality within deadline

• To assist with the responses to specific product proposals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required

• 2 years’ proven career experience in Korea (업종무관하나, 대기업 경력, 인터넷, 헬스케어, IT 업종 선호 )

• Ability to analyze, strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and show intellectual curiosity

• Has initiative and is self-motivated, eager to learn, and interested in taking on new challenges to enhance coverage and build relationships internally and externally

• Preferably able to communicate in English

• Fluent in Korean
