The equity research team is looking to add an Investment Analyst who can support fundamental investment research in the Technology, Media and Communications sector.

The ideal candidate is a fundamental investor with strong technology fluency. They should understand stocks, financial statements, valuation, and capital markets. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the Technology, Media and Communications team and portfolio managers, supporting research across the sector. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

 
Investment Research 

  • Conduct company, industry and competitive analysis. 

  • Build and maintain financial models and valuation frameworks. 

  • Analyze quarterly earnings results and management commentary. 

  • Assist in the development of investment recommendations and research reports. 

  • Monitor company developments and identify potential investment opportunities. 

  • Participate in meetings with company management teams and industry experts. 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

  • Completion of a 4-year university degree in a business-related subject or equivalent work experience. 

  • Minimum 2-5 years of investment market expertise. 

  • Completion CFA designation is an asset. 

  • Passion for investing and active fundamental stock selection 

  • Understanding of financial statements and valuation concepts. 

  • Excellent analytical, writing and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and handle multiple tasks 

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with commitment to excellence 

  • Demonstrated curiosity and desire to learn. 

  • Advanced Excel proficiency. 

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar platforms. 

  • Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, or similar tools is an asset 

This role follows our in-office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs. 

 

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is$115,000 to $140,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
