Investment Analyst / Senior Investment Analyst
We are seeking talented individuals to join our Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Two roles are available for an Investment Analyst and Senior Investment Analyst. You’ll support the ongoing success of Mercer’s listed equity funds across domestic and global solutions. Working closely with the Head of Equities, Pacific and Mercer’s local and global portfolio management teams, you’ll contribute to manager selection, portfolio construction and fund oversight, helping ensure portfolios align with investor needs and benefit from Mercer’s global investment capabilities.
We will count on you to:
- Support manager selection and portfolio construction activity across Mercer’s listed equity funds to help deliver investment objectives
- Prepare analysis and materials to support recommendations for the Chief Investment Officer, investment committees and other stakeholder groups
- Lead and participate in investment manager meetings as part of due diligence for existing and prospective investment strategies
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholder groups to support day-to-day fund management and clear communication on performance expectations and outcomes
- Respond to queries and requests relating to the funds from internal and external stakeholders
- Stay informed on industry and market developments and contribute to ongoing research and continuous improvement
What you need to have:
- Relevant undergraduate qualification, with further postgraduate study or professional certification preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a multi-manager environment, superannuation fund, asset consultant or research house
- Knowledge of investment markets and asset classes, with an interest in listed equities solutions
- Analytical capability, including the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, manage multiple priorities and communicate insights clearly

Skills Required
