The OpportunityWe are seeking a capable and motivated Investment Analyst – Managed Accounts to join our Investment Management & Research team within the Investment Solutions & Governance division at Netwealth.
This role plays an important part in supporting the investment governance and due diligence of model managers and managed models made available through the Netwealth Managed Account Service. Working closely with senior investment and product stakeholders, you will contribute to the assessment, onboarding and ongoing review of managed account solutions, helping ensure they meet Netwealth’s investment, governance and regulatory standards.
As managed accounts continue to be a key pillar of Netwealth’s growth strategy, this role offers strong exposure to investment governance processes, external model managers and platform‑based investment solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport investment due diligence reviews of prospective model managers and managed models across multiple asset classes.
Assist with the preparation of high‑quality investment analysis, due diligence documentation and papers for Investment Committees and trustee approval.
Contribute to the onboarding of new managed models, coordinating inputs across Product, Investment Operations and senior investment stakeholders.
Support ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of approved managed models, identifying changes and emerging considerations.
Assist with reviews of models issued by external Responsible Entities for inclusion on the Netwealth platform.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with investment governance and regulatory requirements.
Build knowledge of managed account structures, platform requirements and investment governance frameworks.
You are an early‑to‑mid‑career investment professional with a strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in managed accounts and investment governance. You enjoy working with detail, building your technical capability, and contributing to structured decision‑making in a collaborative team environment.
Your background includes:
+7 years’ experience in an investment analyst, investment research, or managed accounts analysis.
Exposure to managed accounts, investment platforms, funds management or investment governance is essential.
Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, economics or a related discipline.
Progress toward, or interest in, professional qualifications such as CFA or CAIA is highly regarded.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document investment analysis.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Solid numeracy skills and confidence using Microsoft Excel.
A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from senior stakeholders.
