Businesses seeking to operate in these industries within the City of New York must, by law, apply to BIC and be approved by BIC for the requisite license or registration. BIC’s goals include: to keep industries free of organized crime and other forms of corruption; to ensure that regulated businesses are able to compete fairly; that customers receive equitable treatment, and that regulated businesses do not present a harm to public safety and conduct their affairs with honesty and integrity.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Investigations, the Investigator will be responsible for conducting truck inspections and enforcing all applicable BIC regulations governing the trade waste industry.
