JOB SUMMARY

As a Personal Injury Investigator, you’ll gather the facts, evidence, and documentation that form the foundation of strong PI case outcomes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely case development. This includes conducting field investigations, interviewing clients and witnesses, and coordinating evidence and records to support attorneys and case managers throughout the life of each claim.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Case Fact‑Finding & Evidence Collection: Conduct thorough investigations, gather physical and digital evidence, obtain statements, and document all relevant facts to support liability and damages.

Scene Investigation & Documentation: Visit accident locations, take photographs and measurements, reconstruct events, and prepare detailed reports that strengthen case theory.

Witness & Client Interviews: Interview clients, witnesses, and involved parties to capture accurate narratives, clarify inconsistencies, and preserve testimony for case development.

Records Coordination: Work with law enforcement and third parties to obtain records, bills, police reports, and other documentation essential to case progression.

Investigative Reporting & Case Support: Prepare clear, organized investigative summaries, timelines, and evidence packets that assist attorneys and case managers in evaluating and advancing cases.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with attorneys, case managers, intake specialists, and external vendors to ensure investigations align with case strategy and deadlines.

Strategic Case Development Support: Identify strengths, weaknesses, and missing elements in cases and proactively recommend additional investigative steps to strengthen liability and damages.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Personal injury investigation experience: 3–5+ years conducting investigations in a PI firm, insurance environment, or related field.

Accident scene analysis skills: Ability to document scenes, reconstruct events, and identify key liability factors.

Interviewing proficiency: Strong ability to obtain clear, accurate statements from clients, witnesses, and involved parties.

Evidence and records management: Experience collecting, organizing, and preserving physical and digital evidence.

Legal documentation familiarity: Understanding of police reports, medical records, insurance documents, and personal injury case requirements.

Technology proficiency: Comfortable using case‑management systems, digital evidence tools, and mobile field‑investigation technology.

Strong communication & reporting: Ability to produce clear, concise investigative summaries and communicate findings to attorneys.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in high‑volume PI practices: Background supporting fast‑moving caseloads with tight deadlines.

Law enforcement or insurance background: Prior work as an adjuster, investigator, or officer.

Bilingual communication skills: Ability to interview diverse clients and witnesses.

Advanced accident reconstruction skills: Training or experience in detailed scene analysis or vehicle impact interpretation.

Knowledge of personal injury compliance standards: Familiarity with documentation requirements, privacy rules, and evidence‑handling protocols.
