Job Description 


Summary/objective:

The Inventory & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing inventory levels and ensuring the accurate receipt and storage of products. This role involves monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, and collaborating with various departments to maintain an efficient supply chain process.

Essential functions

  • Receiving Goods:
  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Record and document all received items in the inventory management system.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies and investigate variances in inventory counts.
  • Stock Organization:
  • Ensure proper storage of items in designated areas, following safety and organizational protocols.
  • Manage the organization of inventory for easy access and retrieval.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
  • Assist in picking and packing orders as needed and instructed.
  • Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Communicate inventory needs and challenges to management.

  • Can use and learn how to operate various technology and warehouse software's in timely and effective manner

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain solid attendance 
  • Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives. 
  • Ability to take individual ownership, execute with high energy, share context, insist on candor with positive intent.
  • Available to work flexible hours as needed
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role preferred.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures.

Required education and experience

  • Highschool

Preferred education and experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.


Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.


Physical demands - Will need to be able to stand for extended periods of time. May need to lift up to 40-50 lbs.


Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.


Travel required - Significant travel is not anticipated for this position.


Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
