Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Inventory Lead is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall accuracy and efficiency of inventory operations. This position requires expert-level management of Warehouse Management System (WMS) transactions, comprehensive cycle counting procedures, and deep root cause analysis to maintain optimal stock levels and data integrity. Furthermore, the Lead will manage, train, and mentor a dedicated team while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless product flow and process adherence throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily inventory cycle counts, physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies promptly
- Ensure the accuracy of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments, utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Monitor inventory levels to identify and address potential shortages, overstocks, or slow-moving items
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy
- Maintain organization and proper labeling of all inventory locations
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of inventory associates to achieve daily and weekly goals
- Coordinate team schedules and assignments to optimize workflow and coverage
- Provide training to team members on proper inventory procedures, WMS usage, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other department leads (e.g., Shipping, Receiving, Operations) to ensure smooth product flow
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all inventory processes
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations within the inventory area
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory accuracy, cycle count progress, and team performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory-related system issues in conjunction with the IT department
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of inventory control principles, including cycle counting, physical inventory, and variance analysis
- Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan SCALE)
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, delegate tasks, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and improve processes
- Competent in using Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets, for data analysis and reporting
- Meticulous approach to recording data and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $24.22/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
