As an Inventory Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory accounting within the GL Operations team.
Key objectives include:

  • Activities of the Inventory accounting team are overseen, and staff are managed and developed to maintain high levels of morale, motivation and productivity.
  • Key performance indicators for the team are developed and monitored, with actions identified and delivered to achieve process efficiency and overall compliance.
  • Inventory transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Inventory imbalances are identified and resolved.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of inventory transactions falling under the remit of the Exton based accounting function.
  • Managing inventory analysis of RM, WIP and FG.
  • Managing inventory transactions and standard cost setting within the ERP systems.
  • Ensuring regular reconciliation of all inventory GL balances to underlying sub-ledgers, and resolution of imbalances to achieve Takeda's thresholds at month end.
  • Ensuring adherence to Takeda's inventory accounting process.
  • Supervising the activities of accounting associates covering processing of transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and imbalance resolution.
  • Acting as subject matter expert for any issues relating to the inventory accounting processes.
  • Reviewing and approving balance sheet reconciliations and manual journal entries.
  • Reviewing and approving inventory data on TPUSA Combined Rep Letter
  • Providing audit support relating to inventory accounting activity.


Required qualifications:
Required:

  • CPA with 3-6 years' experience and public accounting background, Big 4 a plus
  • 4+ years' of experience accounting for inventory transactions
  • Competent on ERP systems (strong preference for SAP and JDE)
  • Excellent Excel abilities
  • Experience of working in a shared service or large multinational company environment
  • Supervisory experience


Desirable:

  • Experience of SAP, JDE and Hyperion HFM
  • Experience with applying US GAAP to inventory transactions
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry
  • Prior Inventory Accounting experience


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Flexibility in working hours due to global nature (different time-zones) and demands of the role and organization.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$108,500.00 - $170,500.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
