WHO WE ARE
Join RePublic Schools, a network of public charter schools serving over 3,000 scholars across Jackson, Mississippi, and Nashville, Tennessee. With seven schools in our network, we are on a mission to redefine public education in the South. Rooted in love, achievement, and belonging, we address systemic inequities while cultivating inclusive environments that celebrate the identities and experiences of our scholars and community members.

We believe that timely, targeted intervention is essential to ensuring all scholars reach their full potential. Our work centers on identifying learning gaps early and providing intentional, high-quality academic support that accelerates growth across content areas. Through responsive instruction and strong relationships, we ensure scholars build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed—while feeling seen, valued, and affirmed in their learning environments.

THE ROLE
We are seeking an Interventionist who believes deeply in the power of timely, targeted academic support and the role high-leverage instruction and intervention play in accelerating scholar outcomes across content areas.

At RePublic Schools, we believe scholars thrive when they consistently experience grade-level instruction, meaningful engagement, and adults who hold unwavering high expectations. In this role, you will champion these beliefs by working directly with scholars and teachers to identify learning gaps, deliver targeted interventions, and expand equitable access to rigorous, grade-aligned learning experiences.

This role blends direct student intervention with instructional collaboration, requiring strong student-facing practice, the ability to analyze data and diagnose learning needs, and effective partnership with classroom teachers to ensure interventions are aligned, responsive, and impactful.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Interventionist, your work will focus on the following:

  • Design and deliver targeted, high-impact intervention lessons aligned to RePublic’s curriculum framework and grade-level standards across content areas.
  • Use multiple data sources (screeners, progress monitoring tools, classroom assessments) to track scholar progress and adjust interventions based on individual learning needs.
  • Provide small-group and 1:1 instructional support to accelerate learning and close skill gaps.
  • Foster learning environments where scholars feel confident, supported, and motivated to meet high expectations.
  • Partner closely with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders to align interventions with core instruction
  • Participate in data meetings, PLCs, and professional learning sessions to analyze trends and plan responsive supports.
  • Embrace feedback as a tool for growth and continuously refine instructional strategies to maximize scholar impact.
  • Contribute to a school culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and shared ownership for scholar outcomes.
  • Develop trust-based relationships with scholars that promote engagement, confidence, and academic perseverance.
  • Communicate regularly with families and teachers about scholar progress and intervention goals.
  • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and an unwavering belief in scholar potential.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to design and implement strong systems that support the MTSS framework.
  • Lead high-quality professional learning to build staff capacity in MTSS processes and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all scholars receiving Tier II and Tier III supports, while supporting and holding teachers accountable for required MTSS documentation.
