POSITION SUMMARY

The Internship Program at HealthStream will enable you to grow personally and professionally by providing you with real-world experience in one of the top healthcare IT companies in the United States. In HealthStream's Internship Program, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a stimulating, collaborative environment. This experience, in partnership with your coursework, will set you up on a road for career success.

In this role, you will learn from and assist the product marketing team to expand marketing's reach of HealthStream's products and services. This includes assisting with active projects, product launches, and campaigns, while also being assigned some of your own projects to complete.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES - (The below listed duties are not all inclusive. This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):

  • Learn how to & assist with performing competitive analysis and market research
  • Assist with the execution of product launches and campaigns
  • Assist with identifying customer needs and obtain buyer insights
  • Assist with aligning customer needs to dynamic positioning and messaging
  • Collaborate with other teams including sales, product, and demand marketing
  • Help equip and enable the sales teams with training and collateral
  • Assist in analysis and interpretation of data to find valuable insights



JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (Specialized, technical, or practical knowledge, skills, experience or abilities that are needed to perform the job. Include degrees, certificates, licenses, or other bona fide job qualifications.)

  • KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


    • A current student pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field who will graduate within one year.
    • All intern candidates MUST be currently enrolled students in an accredited college or university
    • Transcripts may be requested at any point during the interviewing process (unofficial transcripts acceptable).
    • An interest in learning about the healthcare industry



  • SKILLS REQUIRED (manual, verbal or mental manipulation of data or things):


    • This candidate must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills are critical.
    • Analytical and detail orientated



  • ABILITIES REQUIRED (work characteristics, behaviors, leadership abilities, etc.):


    • This position is remote. This person is expected to have a dedicated location to accommodate office work.
    • Communicate effectively. When needed, this person should follow-up with team members to understand the goal.
    • Most of the tasks will be assigned in specific terms. When explained, this person is expected to grasp an understanding of the project, and run with it, checking in frequently, and managing their time efficiently.
    • Excellent organizational skills with a proven record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and an attention to detailed.
    • An energetic, self-starter who efficiently completes tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • The ability to manage relationships internally and externally is expected.
    • A team player that is willing to jump in and help when needed.
    • Interns are expected to work 30 hours a week for the May-August internship period. Internship will cover dates starting in May and ending in August, with some flexibility on dates given varying school schedules.
    • This is a paid internship; pay starts at $15/hr for the Internship Program.
