POSITION TITLE: Summer 2022 Intern - Accounting Associate

LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This role participates in the overall accounting process, driving development and reporting of Salesforce's external financial statements to our investors. The Controller's Organization includes a number of teams working together providing insight into the company's financial performance. You will be assisting Seniors and Managers within Corporate Accounting, Revenue Accounting, and SEC reporting in executing responsibilities from financial statement review and analytics to business process improvements to driving Social Enterprise activities within the Controller's org. This role operates cross-functionally with other groups within the CFO's organization including Finance and Strategy, Tax and Treasury, Global Procurement, Travel and Disbursements, Revenue Operations, as well as other partners and third-party contractors across the overall business. The insights you will gain after spending a full summer in a fast-paced and challenging environment will provide for you valuable insights that will help YOU decide whether the innovative world of Cloud Computing is for you.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a degree in Business, preferably in Accounting
• Current Junior/Rising Senior
• Completed or currently enrolled in coursework in accounting, corporate finance, economics, strategy
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to speak in front of executive leaders and large groups
• Strong Excel modeling and data analytics skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• PowerPoint presentation building skills
• Complex and creative problem-solving ability
• A team player, with a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver excellence, and to do whatever is required to get the job done
• A passion for cloud computing and the social enterprise
• A fun, curious, and open-minded personality, with an eagerness to learn new things and is not afraid to ask questions
