Position Summary

A successful Platform Engineer Intern joining our Platform Engineering group will do much more than manage infrastructure, tools, and services. They will be working with an Incident Management Team in the various aspects of Incident Management to include handling communications during major incident response, working on Incident Management process documentation, reporting on incidents using tools like Power BI, Jira Service Management and Salesforce. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and implement solutions to technical problems that are unique to ResMed SaaS.

The Intern will also collaborate with our Customer Experience, Product Management, and R&D teams as it pertains to Incident Management

Responsibilities

• Develop data reports, dashboards, and derive insights from operational data through common data modeling and visualization tooling
• Develop custom tools and automation through programming and scripting
• Develop automation, processes, and implement basic tooling integrations to enable the flow of data between Jira Service Management and Salesforce
• Assist to define, implement, and maintain incident management and other ITSM methodologies and processes
• Assist in planning, configuration, and implementation of next generation ITSM tooling
• Follow and support corporate security policies, standards, and procedures as they apply to this role. Maintain customer and corporate privacy standards as outlined by HIPAA

Education and Experience

• Experience working with data modeling, reporting and visualization tooling (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate)
• Experience implementing basic API integrations between software solutions
• Experience in the use of a high-level scripting language (Python, Javascript, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell)
• Knowledge of analytics tools and ITSM systems
