We are looking for a 4G/5G RAN SME Intern to join our Wireless Networks team. You will be a key contributor to multi-functional team of R&D, Systems Engineering, and Product Validation to introduce Samsung products to Wireless Carriers.
Role and Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities:• Work closely with the SME team in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & SW releases and third party products to build product synergies.• Work closely in supporting field integration testing efforts of all 4G/5G key features with customers including test plan development, reviewing test plans with customers, driving cross-functional teams to execution, review of test results, issue identification, analysis, and troubleshooting. Resolve issues and bugs with R&D and improve SW quality until final software acceptance is achieved.• Responsible for handling technical discussion with team members and with cross functional teams. • Responsible for hands on analysis and troubleshooting of network performance issues (i.e. air interface, L2/L3 signaling and call processing, etc.) • Review and provide recommendations to improve LTE RAN network performance by evaluating and trending key KPIs, performing trials and providing optimization guidelines.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate key technical concepts, ability to package complex ideas into logical, easy-to-follow progressions

Skills and Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:• Actively pursuing Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Must have:
Solid understanding of RF fundamentals and data network protocols.• Knowledge of 5G and/or 4G network architecture and call processing technologies; specifically focused on Radio Access Network• Good understanding of Software development and test life cycle
Nice to have:• Understanding of 3GPP systems and standards: RAN and Core networks• Understanding of advanced wireless concepts such as Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies, etc. • Must have an aptitude to work and contribute in a dynamic work environment • Strong interpersonal communication skills
