Job Description

Join Jack Link's as IT Business Intern for Summer 2023! In this project-based internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by being engaged within the Jack Links IT Business team and collaborate with the Jack Links Business team. 

You will collaborate with the business team to gather insights and challenges within the business team. Identify possible approaches and solutions to address the business challenges. Align on appropriate solution for the business that addresses business challenges and aligns with overall IT business security and technology guidelines. You will document requirements and create user stories to produce a technology solution, from concept to delivery for either our North America or EMEA business teams. 

Possible focus projects could focus on collecting information and providing insights to assist with business processes and decisions, documenting and automating business processes to improve business effectiveness and accuracy. At the completion of your internship, you will conduct a final presentation on your internship experience to multiple areas of the business. (IT, Business partners and Jack Links senior executive team).

As an IT Business Intern within Jack Link’s, you will work closely with the technology and business teams, gaining formal and informational training.

 IT Business Intern responsibilities:

•  Collaborate with the business and creating necessary requirements and user stories
• Creating mockups or prototypes and present to business partners to assist with refining business and development requirements and user acceptance criteria
• Be part of development team to set goals and deliverables for sprints, and communicate new functionality of changes to stakeholders
• Attend daily stand-ups as needed and work with development teams so that clear understanding of backlog items is achieved by providing guidance and clarification when sought. 
• Final presentation to leadership team to recap experience

Qualifications

Experience with the following preferred:

· Academic focus in Information Technology or Business

· Able to use agile thinking to break large problems into smaller, quicker, achievable wins

· Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints

· Team player with a “can do” attitude

· Ability to adapt in a changing work environment

· Strong verbal and written communications skills

· Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Understanding of Testing and Documentation using proper methodologies

· Ability to work with an iterative and incremental IT environment

· Strong preference for candidates within a commutable distance to Minneapolis, MN
