Your Responsibilities

• Expand your technical knowledge under the mentorship of other Engineers
• Work as part of a team alongside other Engineers to deliver amazing product experiences
• Find creative, scalable solutions for problems
• Design, develop, review, test, deploy, and maintain backend systems
• Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs
• Collect and analyze metrics to drive quality and efficiency
• Create and maintain documentation for functionality, workflow and internal process
• Review and collaborate with other engineers on their code
• Have the opportunity to learn from an established, high-performance Engineering team

Requirements

• You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science (or related)
• You can communicate complex ideas and processes, simply and concisely
• You love collaboration, attention to detail, and solving problems
• You have a strong desire to continuously learn and master new skills
• You are interested in backend distributed systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, Go, or Ruby
• Experience with SQL and no SQL databases, especially Postgres
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems
• Experience with open source back-end technologies
• Experience with a non-relational data storage
