Your Role
You will be growing and developing your skills as a data scientist. At Handshake our data scientists are responsible for leveraging data to drive decisions about product changes and power data-driven products for students, employers, and schools. Our program is tailored around your learning and development. Here are some of the projects you might dig into during your internship:
- Building new data pipelines and use machine learning techniques to provide data for our consumer applications
- Working with our product team to make data-driven decisions about future product changes
- Suggesting methods for improving our product or insights and designing experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of those changes
You’ll work with these technologies:
- BigQuery, Snowflake
- Google AutoML
- Spark
- GCP
- Looker
Your Experience:
- You have a deep interest in working with complex data.
- You are interested in analytics and machine learning
- You enjoy exploring data and extracting insights.
- You take pride in being able to tell a story with data.
- You have experience working with databases and advanced SQL.
Compensation:
$7,500 - $8,500 / month

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
