Our Sophomore Spree is designed to give you exposure to Belk, Big Box Retail and the Fashion Industry. You will gain experience in Merchandising, Planning, Private Brands, Finance and Supply Chain. This opportunity will allow you to see how Belk operates as a company. You will engage with other college students through seminars, speakers, shadowing roles, and a team Belk case study!

What the Program Offers:

• Learn more about Big Box Retail and the eCommerce Industry
• Network with Belk Senior Leaders
• Shadow and learn about key functions in our business: Merchandising, Private Brands, Supply Chain, Planning, and Finance
• Compete in a case study competition regarding a Belk opportunity with other program participants

Qualifications:

• Preferred GPA of 3.2 or above from a strong academic program
• Preferred Majors include: Economics, Business, Apparel Merchandising, Supply Chain, Apparel Design, Retail Studies, Marketing, Finance, Accounting
• Positive Attitude, true team player, competitive nature, and a curious mind
• An excitement and interest in the Fashion and Retail Industry
• Ability to problem solve and use innovative and creative ideas
• Graduation Date of Fall 2023 or Spring 2024

Additional Details:

• Strong applicants will be selected for a phone interview with a member of our recruiting team. Selected candidates will be invited to attend the Sophomore Spree.
• Participants will be responsible for providing their own transportation to Charlotte for the Sophomore Spree.
• Once in Charlotte, we will provide a hotel accommodation, meals, as well as transportation to events in Charlotte.
• The Sophomore Spree will start in the afternoon of May 24th and go through the morning of May 27th.
