About the location:

This beautiful resort opened in October 2008, and has 90 one-bedroom villas, 1 Presidential Suite, 45 two-to-five-bedroom residential villas, 5 stunning Food and Beverage venues in addition to managing an off-property beach bar/restaurant, an award-winning over water Spa, 2 tennis courts and a fitness center.Purpose of the PositionThe Kitchen Intern will support the culinary team in the preparation and production of high-quality food while gaining practical experience in a professional hotel kitchen. The internship aims to develop culinary skills, promote adherence to hotel standards, and provide exposure to all aspects of kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation and mise en place according to hotel recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times.
- Support chefs during breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies using the FIFO method.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to minimize waste.
- Learn and comply with hotel policies, grooming standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
