About the internship
As a Test Engineer Intern, you’ll work with our Connected Experience team to help ensure quality across mobile apps (iOS & Android) and backend/API services. You’ll gain hands-on experience testing real features and validating end-to-end flows from app UI all the way to cloud services. This internship is designed to be practical: you’ll learn by doing, with mentorship and regular guidance from experienced engineers.
Internship duration: Preferably 6 months (or longer based on your university requirement).
What you’ll do :-
Mobile & backend quality testing :-
Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing on iOS/Android and backend services
Validate end-to-end user journeys across app, APIs, and connected service
Create and maintain test cases/checklists, and document test results clearly
Report bugs with strong reproduction steps, logs/screenshots, and impact notes
Support release readiness by helping verify fixes and reducing regressions
Automation exposure (learning-focused)
Learn the basics of test automation concepts and how teams scale quality
Support maintaining or extending existing automated checks (where applicable), with guidance
Collaboration
Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Communicate testing progress, risks, and findings in a clear and timely way
Tools & skills you may be exposed to (You don’t need to know all of these—this is what you’ll learn over time.) :-
Test management/documentation: Github Issues, Microsoft Loop
API testing: API Testing tool basic, REST concepts
Version control basics: Git
Mobile testing basics: iOS Simulator / Android Emulator
What you’ll learn & how you’ll grow :-
By the end of the internship, you should be able to :
Independently execute and document test cases for features and fixes
Confidently test across both mobile UI and API layers
Write high-quality defect reports that help engineers fix issues faster
Understand how quality is built into delivery through good practices and teamwork
Who you are :-
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields
Strong English communication (written & spoken)
Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable learning new tools
Able to work independently and collaborate with others
Enjoys problem-solving and improving product quality
Nice to have (not required)
Basic programming knowledge (any language)
Familiarity with mobile apps, APIs, or automation testing concepts
Experience with university projects involving testing or software delivery
Interest or experience in AI prompt engineering (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Github Copilot)
