Skydance Media is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Summer interns!
We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for motivated individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in Talent Acquisition (TA) as well as events- and culture-focused project coordination. The internship program will offer valuable insights into divisions that the Skydance TA team supports, including Media (TV, Film), Sports, Games and the corporate functions that make up this growing and fast-paced studio.
This is a ten-week long paid, full-time internship. You must be able to work 9:00 AM-6:00 PM for the duration of this internship program.
This internship application will close on April 1st, 2025.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support recruitment team alongside TA Coordinator through job posting, interview and meeting scheduling, candidate wrap-ups, generating offer letters, event planning, etc.
- Prepare and distribute regular reporting including weekly and monthly open requisition reports
- Learn and assist in maintenance of the applicant tracking system and career portal by opening and closing jobs, updating job information, reassigning positions
- Maintain positive candidate experience by supporting candidates through the recruitment process and onsite interviews
- Act as a support to the TA team for industry engagements and relationships, including hiring events, conferences, school partnerships, diversity organizations, etc.
- Construct Creative Briefs to send to marketing department to develop graphics used in company-wide communication
- Aid in the coordination of company events including employee screenings and holiday-themed events
- Conduct research assignments related to employee engagement projects
- Participate in weekly Life at Skydance meeting, gaining insight into engagement activities
- Assist in Skydance Internship facilitation including coordinating bi-weekly intern cohort events, social opportunities, presentations, scheduling regular intern check-ins, etc.
- Report on intern activities regarding feedback, from feedback making suggestions on program improvements, and executing on projects based on those ideas
- Participate in ad-hoc recruitment, employee engagement, and event-based projects
Requirements
- Must be available for 10-week program, Monday, June 9 - Friday, August 15
- Must be available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Must be available to work on site Monday - Thursday (reasonable accommodations may be considered)
- Must be currently enrolled in an Associates, Bachelor or Master’s program at an accredited institution
- Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to ensure the accuracy of highly detailed and confidential information
- Passion for the Entertainment industry, focus on Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, and/or Human Resources a plus
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn, leading by example for fellow interns
- Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced media environment
The hourly rate for this non-exempt position in Santa Monica is $17.81
You must be available to work full-time from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (PT) for the duration of the program (Mon-Fri, June 9 to August 15). Our offices will be closed on June 19 and July 4. Aside from those dates, no additional vacation days can be accommodated.
