About this opportunity:
We are offering an one-year HR internship in Kazakhstan designed for a motivated early-career talent to support People Business Partner (PBP) activities across the Southern Balkans, UAG & Central Asia geography (Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Bulgaria, Albania, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan) with extensive focus in Kazakhstan. This is a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in strategic HR work, partner with business leaders, and learn the end-to-end HR agenda in a global, fast-moving organization.
You will be part of the EMEA People team - an energetic, collaborative group focused on developing people and delivering results. During this internship you will be mentored by experienced Business Partners and the Head of People South Europe and Eurasia and will have exposure to multiple HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Talent & Development, Employee Relations and People Analytics.
What you will do:
- Support People Business Partners in day-to-day HR activities and stakeholder management across Kazakhstan and other countries of the region.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes and offer administration
- Help execute local and regional people programs (talent reviews, performance processes, learning initiatives, employee engagement)
- Contribute to people analytics and reporting to help drive data-informed HR decisions
- Support compliance activities, local labor law checks and basic documentation related to employee relations
- Participate in change and organizational initiatives, helping prepare communications and coordination plans
- Liaise with People Operations, Payroll, and shared services to ensure smooth HR service delivery
- Attend governance and local management meetings as an observer / note-taker and support follow-up actions
Who we are looking for:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Prior relevant experience in HR is preferred, with internships or part-time exposure considered a plus.
- Strong interest in developing a career in HR and People Business Partnering
- Good analytical skills and comfort working with data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident working with stakeholders at different levels
- Proactive, curious, organized, and able to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work both independently and within a multicultural team
- Availability to travel
- Fluency in English and Russian; additional regional language(s) is an advantage
