The Risk Management Solutions FX desk at Deutsche Bank is looking for a long-term intern in the Milan office starting on February 2025 for 6 months.
The RMS FX desk is responsible for structuring and marketing Foreign Exchange, Cash and Derivatives hedges to European corporate clients. Clients include multi-national investment grade and high yield companies across a variety of sectors including healthcare, consumers, technology, media and telecom, industrials, infrastructure, energy.
The desk is focused primarily on risk management associated with FX budget hedging, Net investment hedging, Special situations where FX risk is a concern for Corporations.
Responsibilities
The intern will have the opportunity to assist the team and be trained on the following activities:
- Analyse client risk exposures and develop appropriate risk management strategies.
- Build client relationships through continuous, idea-driven coverage and customized updates on market developments.
- Work with Corporate Finance and Capital Markets professionals to originate risk management business associated with clients’ strategic and geographic expansion activity.
- Assist in all aspects of the trade process including documentation and onboarding, credit approval, derivatives pricing and execution.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, financial statements analysis, and term sheets.
- Collaborate Cross desk with Rates and Commodities desk.
Skills
- Bachelor in Finance, Business Administration or related, near completion of a Master in Finance.
- Numbers oriented and interested in a Markets related job.
- Clear and accurate communicator that feels comfortable in client-facing situations.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English is a must for the role, both written and spoken.
- Commercial driven, self-motivated towards new business.
- Prior experience in fixed income/macro products desk is a nice to have.
Start Date: February 2025, 6 months internship.
