The Louis Dreyfus Company Internship Program 2026 provides students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commodity trading industry. The program is designed to equip interns with foundational knowledge and professional skills in one of the company’s business platforms.

As a G&O Intern, you will be introduced to and become an integral part of our Grains & Oilseeds Team. You will work with experienced professionals in G&O Team and interact with colleagues to gain insight into the commodity industry. You will be given the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop your own sense of the working environment in the business platform.

Job Description

Internship duration:

  • From Aug'26 onwards, for a duration of 5 months

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the daily commercial and marketing discussion of the trading desk
  • Support commercial operations, and timely execution of commercial tasks
  • Develop and improve research workflows while supporting day-to-day research operations
  • Analyze and enhance the logistics-related flow

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Engineering or related field of study
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python, R for data manipulation, visualization, and dashboard development
    • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development
    • Strong analytical skills in data analysis and commodity market research
    • Interest in ETL processes, data modelling, warehousing
  • Analytical Mindset:
    • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex datasets to derive actionable insights
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Other Skills & Knowledge:
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and propose solutions
    • Independent self-starter who takes initiative, and has a proactive attitude toward problems and issues
    • Possesses an entrepreneurial and humble mindset
    • Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
    • Willingness to learn software development best practices
    • Interest and knowledge in Data Science, Research within agricultural commodity sector is a plus
