Job Description:
The Internship Placement Coordinator is responsible for sourcing internship placements for program participants in Europe as well as providing support on-site to both the student and the host employer. Our Experiential Programs team believes in the lifechanging capacity of studying and interning abroad and embraces that statement with total enthusiasm.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and form new relationships with host employers
- Manage relationships with third party placement providers
- Deepen relations with existing partnerships and employers and work with the on-site programs team to ensure high-quality experiences
- Conduct student advising sessions prior to placement referral
- Update and utilize online student management software
- Organize and participate in pre-departure orientations
- Assist students with integration into the local culture and provide information and advice about opportunities for cultural enrichment
- Troubleshoot and solve problems with students, employers or otherwise
- Touch base with participants on a regular basis
- Other projects related to other divisions as needed
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be able to lawfully accept employment in Spain at the time of the offer of employment.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 1-year sales, marketing, relationship development, or job recruitment experience
- Prior experience living, working, studying abroad, or international travel highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Positive, helpful, and friendly attitude
- Flexible and able to adapt to a seasonal work schedule
- Extremely organized, detailed and systems-oriented
- Independent and highly self-motivated
- A willingness to take on new tasks outside of the given job description
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks / time management
