Based in Brussels, the intern will work closely with the Network Sector Coverage team members and serve as a supporting role to the team in promoting business relating to international corporates based in Belgium.
Our team is looking for an intern to commit preferably up to 6 months (minimum period for internships at ING is 3 months). This internship is open to final- year Bachelor's students or those currently pursuing a Master's degree. Candidates should have an academic background in economics or business.
Main responsibilities:
- Support coverage bankers with preparation, execution of deals and prospecting client presentations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including product team, lending team, risk team and legal team to assist on client account planning, credit review and documentation negotiation.
- Map out new opportunities and build a reasonable understanding of various ING products related to the team portfolio including Cash Management, Trade Finance, Working Capital and other strategic initiatives of ING wholesale banking.
Requirements:
- Interest in financial services.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be proactive.
- Be commercially-oriented, analytical, customer- focused and keen to take initiative with existing customers as well as develop new client relationships.
- Be investigative and have strong learning abilities.
- Be willing to act in a cross- border environment.
- Have very good knowledge of English, knowledge of French or Dutch is an added value.
